As an experienced and passionate location planner, Michiel is happy to advise and help you in your search for a suitable destination or one or more hotels, meeting and/or event locations. He is also happy to contribute to the planning and organisation of your corporate meeting, incentive, congress, tour plan, trade fair or other event.
Michiel can be deployed in various roles and/or functions; on a freelance, interim or part-time basis. He guarantees flawless preparation, implementation and follow-up. At strategic, tactical and operational level.
Knowledge of the market
During his career, Destination & Event Manager Michiel Smilde has developed extensive substantive and production knowledge of events and locations and has built up a warm network. In recent years, he has focused frequently on the municipality of Haarlemmermeer and the surrounding region. His company Eventerim, Event & Congressmanagement is based in Hoofddorp, a 20-minute drive from both Amsterdam, Haarlem and Leiden.
Destination manager
Eventerim is responsible for the destination management of the Convention Bureau Event Park Amsterdam, founded in 2018; a structural cooperation between hotels, event and meeting venues and event suppliers in the municipality of Haarlemmermeer in terms of marketing, PR, sales, network, knowledge and expertise.
